SUMMARY:Flexible, environmentally friendly, practical – discover the potential of cargo bikes for businesses.
DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20260618T090000DTSTAMP:20260525T2101Z
DESCRIPTION:This event takes place in German.\n
The Harburg District Office is offering two information events in June, including opportunities for test rides, on the topic “How can cargo bikes be used in companies?” for businesses in Harburg.\n
Cargo bikes, also known as freight bikes, are increasingly being used by companies to deliver goods and services on the so-called “last mile.” This sustainable alternative to small vans is not only more environmentally friendly, but also offers numerous other advantages: better parking options on site, good accessibility even in narrow and crowded city centers, riding fun, and a positive effect on employees’ health.\n
As part of the KoGoMo research project (https://www3.tuhh.de/vpl/kogomo/projekt/) on sustainable mobility, the Harburg District Office has acquired the “Lademeister” cargo bike (https://www.bakkie.de/index.php/product/tricargo-lademeister-lastenrad-konfigurierbar/), which can be rented at a low cost. Longer rental periods are also possible, providing a low-threshold opportunity to try integrating a cargo bike into your own processes. The offer is aimed at Harburg businesses, tradespeople, associations, and all citizens interested in using a large cargo bike.\n
The goal is to present an alternative to conventional motor vehicles and to promote sustainable mobility solutions.\n
Events for getting started with cargo bike use\n
To make it easier to start or switch to sustainable mobility, the Harburg District Office invites you to two events:\n
June 4, 2026, 11:00 am to 12:30 pm: 90-minute online information event with a professional cargo bike team (https://www.cargobike.jetzt/team/). Here, interested parties can receive initial information.June 18, 2026, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: On-site action day, with comprehensive individual advice on the use, acquisition, and maintenance of cargo bikes. The “Lademeister” will be available for test rides on site. All consulting services are independent and manufacturer-neutral, ensuring objective decision-making.The Harburg District Office looks forward to welcoming many interested parties and is happy to answer any questions about cargo bikes and sustainable mobility.\n
Please register for the free events by email at mobilitaetswende@harburg.hamburg.de.\n
\n
