Conflicts from the use of Gene Drives? An investigation to explore their potential and possible consequences
Preparation of a pilot study "Conflicts from the application of Gene Drives? A study to explore their potential and possible consequences". For a period of one year (starting in March 2019), an interdisciplinary project will be carried out in cooperation with the BOKU (University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences) in Vienna, in which the technical-scientific potential, the interstate and social consequences and the possibilities for legal regulation of this technology will be examined. The project is funded by the German Foundation for Peace Research (DSF) within the framework of the funding line "New Technologies: Risks and Opportunities for International Security and Peace".
